Journaling is something I am deeply passionate about and I am sharing this helpful tool to help you along your journey.  Just first for some clarity on a Diary and a Journal. I have a work diary, I used it to capture my events for the day and deadlines I need to meet.  I have a journal that I use to explore ideas, jot down crazy thoughts and a means to bring my dreams to life.   Journalling is the practice of writing about the thoughts, feelings and physical sensations that come up for us in connection with life events. It can be focused on processing our emotions, achieving our goals, overcoming writers’ block or reconnecting to ourselves and our inner wisdom and innate wellbeing.

Dont confuse your Diary with a Journal. . I have a work diary, I used it to capture my events for the day and deadlines I need to meet.  I have a personal journal that I use to explore ideas, jot down crazy thoughts and a means to bring my dreams to life.

On an energetic level with journaling, you’re aligning your energy, thoughts and beliefs with what you’re wanting to bring to life. Metaphysically, like attracts like, so if you’re beginning each day consciously programming your brain to align with what you desire, what you want to call in and how you want to feel, you’re going to be more likely to experience this throughout your day.

You deserve to take some time out of your day to choose how you want to feel and focus time and energy on what it is you are working towards. Check-in with your vision and goals daily with your new journaling practice, step up and witness it all come to life. It isn’t always easy to start, and we often don’t know where to even start.  For this reason I have created a guidance card which you can stick to the front of your journal to keep you focused.  When I look back at old journals I am so grateful to see how life has evolved and how things when written down have a magical way of coming to being.  I have even started my kids on this practice as they navigate the awkward inbetween years.  One day we will look back and read this journals and reflect.

Journalling for our wellbeing can play an important part in helping us understand our thoughts and feelings, and can be a great way to vent. You’ve heard the expression, ‘better out than in’? Well it turns out there’s science to prove it.

Anne Frank, possibly one of the most famous journallers of all time, wrote “I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.”
